First and foremost, be aware that these tools are not actually intended to record continual Brix (gravity). Calculations can be done throughout the fermentation process in brewing. That being said, this refractometer was very easy to calibrate and use. Includes the mini adjustment screwdriver and solid plastic case with foam packing. Although it does indicate not to use with florescent light, I found it will work just fine if you raise or lower the angle you hold it at until you are able to take an accurate reading. There is a notable difference when viewing in natural light however. The eye piece will rotate to adjust focus on the scale. It also includes a soft lens cloth to clean after use. At this price I would highly recommend picking one up to take your original or starting gravity/brix readings. Bought this for mesuring fermentation. Instructions where not english but they are fairly easy to use. google brix meter and there are plenty of instructions on how to use one.
